An Amazing Evening of Chocolate and Music at RE KÁ TA
R E KÁ TA is the stylish Beach Club next to Boathouse locat-
ed right on Kata Beach. On May 4th RE KÁ TA presented
three world class performers for a sensational evening of
classical music and chocolate decadence interspersed with their sig-
nature fine dining.
The passionate violinist Jonathon Glonek teamed up with his long time collaborator, the wonderful pianist Eri Nakagawa, to present an evening of musical classics.
After al fresco drinks under the lush palm trees beside RE KÁ TA’s pool, the appreciative audience was treated to a pro- gram of classics including works by Mozart, Beethoven and Ed- ward MacDowell. The performance was both intense and thrilling and interspersed with Jonathon’s witty introductions and a break for delicious wine and nibbles by the pool.
Following the music, the third performer took the stage in the form of Spanish pastry Chef David Inglada who showcased his artistic chocolate creations. Chef David matched each course of RE KÁ TA Chef Bryan Burger’s specially-designed menu with a different chocolate textures, delicately paired with care- fully-selected wines.
The evening was a great success and a tribute to RE KÁ TA’s dedication to bringing art and fine food together in delightful company.
