Catch Beach Club is widely known for its remarkable festive vibe and to be the coolest place to sip and lounge on the alluring beach of Bang Tao. In addition to their sensational a-la-carte menu, they offer a tantalizing surf and turf buffet, which we had the pleasure to try.
Stepping into the charming avenue, we were welcomed by an endlessly long buffet line that consists of mouthwatering cuisines. First stop is the appetizer table where we found the beautiful and mouthful canapés. The popular shiny smoked salmon is placed next to a seafood spicy salad that consists of jumbo-sized shellfishes, pasta, tomato mozzarella and refreshing Som Tum Thai. Some flavourful kebabs, cucumber salad and salmon stir-fried with long beans and tomatoes are also available to start your pleasant culinary journey.
A salad bar with a great choice of vegetable and dressing is also set in the neighbouring area.
Following on to the main courses area with a huge selection of fresh seafood. At the beginning of the buffet line, there is a boat gathering Alaskan King Crab claws, Andaman crabs, New Zealand oysters, prawns and mussels. The shellfish are just wonderfully fresh that their natural sweetness requires no dipping sauce (spicy seafood, cream sauce and mignonette sauce for oysters are available on the side). If you are a fan of fresh seafood, the sashimi and sushi bar is also a must-try. Freshness guaranteed.
Right next door, there are grilled seafood including mantis shrimps, prawns, fishes and squids alongside grilled veggies such as broccoli, corn, carrot
and cauliflower. At the same spot, we also discovered a meaty station where roasted premium Australian beef, pork and chicken are well presented on the cutting board and prepared by the talented chefs. Nearby the meat is a choice of pasta cooked live in the cheese wheel, providing an amazing aroma and rich taste to the dish.
Occupying a big corner of the buffet, a whole lamb grill is on fire. With its grand presentation, the lamb is well cooked by the chef, who is there to serve you your preferred cut and cook it to perfection. Three unique styles of sauce, including the classic mint and black pepper, are available to choose from.
This pleasant voyage wouldn’t end sweetly without some desserts. At the desserts corner, we found the grand fountain of chocolate fondue with
chubby marshmallows and fruit cubes alongside the melt-in-the-mouth chocolate cakes, homemade ice-cream, the all-time favourite Crème Brûlée, exquisite Thai sweet treats and seasonal fruits.
The buffet is available on Tuesdays and Fridays from November to February and on Fridays only during March to October.
The buffet with half a bottle of wine starts from 1,890++ Baht per person, while the food only option is priced at THB 1,500++ Baht per person. Dinner starts from 7pm – 10pm
