The Novotel Phuket Phokeethra Enjoy a Breakfast full of Heart
The two characters that signify “dim sum” in Chinese literally mean a “small quantity” and “heart”. So, these mouth-wateringly delicious dim sum steamed and fried dumpling parcels of meats, seafoods and sweets so be-loved by Chinses and foreigners alike, are in fact liter-ally little packages of “HEART”.
“Heartfulness” certainly describes perfectly the happy, buzzy breakfast scene at the Novotel Phuket Pho-keethra in the center of Phuket Town. Their Amor restaurant, located off the main lobby, is the lively indoor/outdoor space in which wonderful Asian and Western food is served all day, but it is at the daily breakfasts from 6:30 am to 11:30 am where the true dim sum party starts, as the hungry throng welcomes the new day with a cornucopia of buffet breakfast choices, including a vast selection of various dim sum.
This large, airy, indoor/outdoor terraced space brims over with all sorts of tempting breakfast treats including all the standard favorites like eggs cooked to your liking complemented by mixed meats, beans, vegetables, salads, cold meats and cheeses, rice and noodle dishes, cereals with candied or fresh fruit, juices, breads, cakes, croissants and of course, great coffees.
Basically, it’s a case of; “if you want it, the Devos breakfast has got it”. But it’s the dim sums, freshly prepared by a dedicated chef in huge steamers out on the terrace, that are the stars of the show, featuring mouth-watering treasures such as crab and seafood, and of course traditional Chinese fillings.
As the live band serenades the happy diners with plain-tive Chinse and European love songs, the groups of families, couples and singletons all seem to get caught up in the joyous energy of this wonderful way to celebrate the arrival of the new day and, as I found myself doing, tend to linger over another cup of fresh coffee and maybe a naughty Danish pastry to round off this lovely event.
Until the end of November 2018, enjoying the Bonap’ Breakfast, which is served on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 am to 11:30 am, will get you 50% discount, sold at THB 383 net. This Chinese inspired menu offers 25 selection of Dim Sum, carefully carved roasted duck, spicy noodles with egg, roasted pork fol-lowing a Trang’s recipe and many more! You can enjoy this fantastic promotion at Amor restaurant, located on the ground floor of the hotel.
The Novotel Phuket Pokeethra breakfast is certainly full of heart in every sense of that lovely expression!Novotel Phuket Phokeethra
