The SIS Kata Resort’s Twilight Sky Restaurant and Bar
Published: February 6th, 2018

One of the most gorgeous, unspoilt corners of Phuket is the headland overlooking Kata Beach, with ver-dantly magical Poo Island dancing in the bay and the pristine sands of Kata Noi Beach to the south.Recently-opened SIS Resort is set high on this richly tree-clad hillside overlooking this beautifully idyllic scene, and its rooftop Twilight Sky restaurant is definitely one of the Andaman’s most fabulous spots for enjoying magical sunsets, crafted signature cocktail in hand, then dining al fresco on the marvellous creations of resident Chef Son-thaya.
As you ascend through the glamorously welcoming inte-rior of The SIS Kata Resort you’re immediately impressed by the eclectic, colorful design and eclectic art work – a memorable signature of this stylish creation.

Stepping out onto the rooftop terrace of Twilight Sky you can’t help but gasp a sharp intake of breath at the sheer majestic natural grandeur of the scalloped crescent of Kata Bay, Poo Island, the graceful headlands and huge, verdant amphitheatre of Phuket’s central massif to the east.
Dramatic cheuron designs grace the swimming pool alongside Twilight Sky, where a cool evening DJ was set-ting up, as we entered this haven of sensuality.
From 5pm there’s cool sundowner spins and a two-for-one drinks promotion, to get the evening started with OOOMPH!
Beautiful couples lounged and cuddled as they sipped equally beautiful

designer cocktails, while, incongru-ously, a corpulent turquoise Matisse-style female nude looked on imperiously from her plinth in the center of the pool!
“There’s certainly no lack of eccentric creativity at The SIS Kata Resort! “
The smiling staff were welcoming as they seated us at a perimeter table overlooking the sensational views and we started by enjoying cool refreshing bottles of Maha Nakhorn craft beverage, from the boutique brewery which is also owned the three eponymous local sisters who also created The SIS Kata Resort.
Supper commenced with an Antipasto Plat-ter served on a butcher’s block,

featuring wonder-ful roasted peppers, asparagus, eggplant, tomatoes, crisp brown bread and Kalamata olives – delightful with a crisp white wine, served by-the-glass.
The menu boasts many local Phuket specialities such as pork belly Moo Hong; Pad Thai with Andaman Sea prawns and local crab curry with white noodles, plus delicious pizzas and healthful crunchy salads.
Cool Himalayan Salt Brick cuisine such as scallops sashimi and classic beef Carpaccio and Hot Stone home cooking of Australian Wagyu Sirloin bring creativity and taste to the mains sections. And don’t forget to try the array of immensely tempting and stylish desserts

Twilight Sky at The SIS Kata Resort is a haven of great taste in every sense of the word!
