That temple to all things elegant and tasteful, Trisara Resort and Spa on Phuket’s north-western Nai Thon Beach, has come up trumps once again with their recent opening of Phuket’s most luxurious Sunday Brunch.
Eschewing the “gorge-yourself-to-astandstill” mentality of some other island brunches Trisara offers six extremely tasteful (pun intended) food stations, each of which focuses on supreme quality.
Start with a perfectly prepared Caesar Salad, segue into an array of delightful tapas style treats and then sample some of the freshest cold water oysters, giant prawns and lobster tails you’ll find in Southern Thailand.
Then move on perhaps to the Australian beef or Salmon Wellington, but pace yourself because the hand- made desserts, pastries and the following cheese and fruit selection are a sensational climax and you really do want to leave “tummy space” to do them justice!
Take time and relax… brunch here is meant to be a drawn-out leisurely affair as the jazz combo lays down cool sounds and you watch the waves break upon the perfect
sands below. Seating is discreet and well spaced, so that every couple or group feels relaxed and pampered, whether in the sala or on the open-air deck.
All the while you will be complementing the gustatory parade with chilled glasses of Louis Roederer champers, or your chosen selection from the wine cellar. It’s hardly surprising that by 4pm most of the diners are still enjoying the day and reluctant to go home.
Sunday brunch: 11.30am-4pm. Baht 3,800++ per person including a bottle of Louis Roederer Champagne Brut for two, or Baht 2,900++ per person including a bottle of your choice of sparkling, white, rose or red wine for two.
