Lad Ku (Ku Night Market)
One of the newest night markets in town is waiting for all shopping lovers to explore every Monday and Tuesday. There are more than 200 vendors at the market offering a variety of products, especially street food that will attract you with its rich aroma. The avenue is built up weekly in front of the Big C shopping center in Kuku, just nearby Phuket Rajabhat University intersection on Rassada Road.
Lad Ploi Khong (Phuket Indy Market)
Located next to Limelight Avenue shopping mall, Lad Ploi Khong is open every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. You will find a large number of local Phuket teens shopping for trendy items such as clothes, bags, shoes, accessories and more while grabbing some yummy bites along the market.
The newest and one of the most popular markets among local people because if its smart design, making use of colorful shipping containers as shops. It‟s known as a hipster market where cool people have to check out. There are plenty of interesting items; clothes, accessories, food and drinks, art works, live street bands and even bars serving iced cold refreshments and snacks. The market is open in Samkong about 500 meters away from Tesco Lotus every Monday, Tuesday,Thursdays, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“Lad” is a southern way of saying “Talad”, which means market, while Yai means big. Lad Yai is located in Phuket downtown on the famous Thalang Road and is open every Sunday. Imagine yourself on a fine night in a charming street surrounded by the antique Sino-Portuguese buildings, all decorated with fancy lights, while the middle of the street is filled with vendors serving delicious local food, street-wear clothing, accessories and more. The area is also home to some very cool bars where you can stop for a drink or two.
