Vietjet today launches its new international service between Phuket and Ho Chi Minh city (HKT–SGN) with 4 flights per week, serving growing travel demand between Thailand and Vietnam. Being major hubs, one as top tourism destination and one as vibrant commercial center, of the two countries for years, the cities both well represent the unique and modern beauty of Asia Pacific region.
The welcome ceremony was witnessed by Mr. Manopchai Vongphakdi – Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Vietnam, leader of Aviation Administration of Vietnam, Culture, Sport and Tourism Department of Ho Chi Minh City and leaders of industries of Vietnam and Thailand. On the inaugural flight, passengers were thrilled to receive lovely, surprise gifts from Vietjet.
The Ho Chi Minh City–Phuket route will operate a return flight every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday (from December 15th, 2017) with a flight duration of two hours per leg. Departure time from Ho Chi Minh City are 11:15 (Monday, Wednesday), 10:15 (Friday), 10:35 (Sunday) and departure time from Phuket are 14:10 (Monday, Wednesday), 13:05 (Friday), 13:45 (Sunday) respectively.
Tickets priced from THB 99 (not inclusive of taxes and surcharges) can be booked through all of Vietjet’s official distribution channels and especially during the ‘golden hours’ from 12:00 to 14:00 (GMT+7) with promotional air fares on the airline’s website at www.vietjetair.com (also compatible with smartphones at https://m.vietjetair.com) or www.facebook.com/thailand (just click the “Booking” tab).
The new route will boost inbound tourism to Phuket and contribute to the success of the island as a top beach holiday destination, as well as growing its superb reputation for marine sports, restaurant and outdoor adventure experiences. Thai and foreign residents in Phuket are also now able to enjoy quick and affordable flights to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, giving more time to explore the city’s French colonial landmarks and lively street food scenes.
With recent launch of Ho Chi Minh city – Chiang Mai air route, and soon Bangkok – Dalat service to be operated by Thai Vietjet, Vietjet Group will have operated totally six routes to “the Land of Smiles” from Vietnam.
