With more than seven years of experience serving delicious and creative pizzas and other Italian classics in Rawai, Phuket, Da Puccio Restaurant has quickly become an institution for those seeking the true Italian flavors.
Da Puccio Restaurant is a traditional pizzeria and Italian restaurant located at the entrance of Soi Khokmakham and its intersection with Wiset Road, in Rawai, Phuket.
Home to Chef Enrico Pulzato, known as Puccio, and his lovely wife Ghirakarn “Kan“ Chotnok, who takes care of the front of the house, the restaurant has grown to become a strong favorite of the many diners that occupy the terrace and the air-conditioned room as soon as the venue opens its door.
The secret to its success? Aside from the lovable personalities of the owners, it all comes down to carefully selected ingredients, a passion for cooking Italian food, and a dash of creativity when it comes to its pizzas! Whether you like the traditional round-shaped, heart-shaped, star-shaped, or a hybrid between a regular pizza and a calzone, you will certainly find the food you have been looking for, and sometimes more!
The pizza dough is one of the best we have tried in Phuket, with a perfect balance between crust and soft texture, and good use of seasonings, too. In addition, most of the ingredients are flown directly from Italy to guarantee an original taste.
While it is difficult to choose a favorite pizza among all they offer, we have a strong secret crush for the Noci, cooked with Blue Cheese, Walnuts, and Speck.
Da Puccio Restaurant is not only famous for its creative pizzas, but they also prepare homemade pasta daily that can be served with your favorite sauce, such as the Tortellini Bolognese, Pesto, Carbonara, and more! They also offer two different sizes on their pasta, so small eaters won’t have to leave anything in their plates.
Finally, the venue also offers a selection of Secondi Piatti, such as meat and seafood; we found the Chicken Alla Milanese to be a strong winner, alongside their Red Snapper, served with olives, capers, and tomatoes, and your choice of side dishes.
You won’t leave the restaurant without trying their homemade desserts, too! Tiramisu, anyone?
Open for lunch and dinner, Da Puccio Restaurant is clearly a victim of its popularity, so booking your table in advance does not sound like a bad idea.
